RE:ST & RE:COVER | the foundations

BODY-BASED PRACTICES & EDUCATION TO SHIFT YOU OUT OF STRESS, FATIGUE AND BURN OUT

PLACES LIMITED TO 20 PARTICIPANTS

IMAGINE

You felt a sense of completion, satisfaction and acknowledged for your work.

Instead of working tirelessly and never feeling its enough

You had the space to listen to your body and could respond to it.

Instead of ignoring what your body is trying to tell you

You felt supported, resourced, relaxed.

Instead of feeling tired, wired, overwhelmed and reactive

This is all possible.

This half-day experience is an invitation to build a more attuned, supportive relationship with your nervous system. Through a blend of education, embodied practice, and reflective insight, we offer tools to help you shift states, recalibrate your rhythms, and develop greater awareness of the underlying drivers of stress and fatigue.

You’ll be guided through practical techniques that connect body, mind, and heart—so you can meet life’s demands with more capacity, clarity, and steadiness. We’ll explore resourcing and resilience, but beyond that we’ll explore what it means to inhabit your system with ease, pleasure, and presence.

Over four hours, we will gently explore:

  • Foundational teachings from our experienced facilitators on rest, nervous system function and regulation.

  • Holistic approaches to stress reduction and cultivating true inner resilience

  • A 60-minute restorative movement practice, designed to support deep rest and reconnection

Whether you're navigating recovery, burnout, or simply longing for a more sustainable way to meet the world—this is a space to slow down and reconnect.

We hope you'll join us.

ABOUT US

Re:st & Re:cover is a collaboration between Lori Curran, body-based practitioner of The Humble Nook & Dr. Becca Andrews (TCM) of Cloud Gate Acupuncture. As friends & colleagues they both have a passion for understanding the body -mind-heart from a holistic lens.

Collectively they have (20) years of clinical experience and post-graduate education and have seen first hand how patterns of nervous system dysregulation & stress are implicated in both acute and chronic health issues. Are we in fact living through an epidemic of stress, fatigue and burnout?

They are passionate about taking their work out of the clinic & into the community. To teach tools and practices, that they often don’t have time to do in a clinical encounter. They do this so more people can build body literacy, access education and practices that can give them more control, more influence over their health.

Coming together creates community, this holds value. It means not only can we support and see each other, we can draw from the collective brain trust of the group; we can talk about, acknowledge and dismantle some of the ways cultural biases drive stress. It is our belief that this creates communities of body-mind-heart systems that are flexible, adaptive and resilient.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT?

We start our time together by orienting ourselves to the space and each other, setting our foundations for the afternoon.

with Becca she/her

Dr. Becca Andrews (TCM)  will introduce us to how Chinese medical health philosophy & Somatics give us a holistic view of cultivating health and vitality.

Together we will explore what resources us and what it would look and feel like if we could nurture our resilience.

We’ll focus on our strengths before experiencing an inner resourcing exercise. We’ll also name, identify & locate our stressors, be that in our body-mind or the world we inhabit.

There will be time for reflection and sharing

with Lori she/her

Lori Curran will explore the foundations of the nervous system & regulation. This helps to build body literacy and provides a sense of ability to shift nervous system states. This can help us more readily access rest & relaxation, or generate more energy.

Lori will also take us through a 60 min restorative practice.
